Abstract building design

(3.6 out of 5 stars)

Very clean look of the building with Tridel as a developer. In general, Tridel is known for great condos as a high-end developer. The design of the balconies though a bit strange giving the building a bit of abstract look. The lobby is rather small, clean cut. The common elements have everything with exception of the swimming pool. There is a yoga centre and rather a spacious gym. Units have large windows. The building overall is rather compact - not all tenants have probably great views, mostly those who have windows facing south.

A small condominium project

Have everything you would expect from the condo though it is not a large condominium complex. Does not have a swimming pool but I normally would not have time for it anyway. Can see a bit of lake out of my window so I guess I can call it a lake view. ;-)

love the location

(3.6 out of 5 stars)

I love the location, directly on Front and Bathurst, just before the bridge - just steps away from the King street - a few minutes walk to all the restaurants and bars. Very close to the fancy Thompson hotel.

Railways and bridge view if you like it

(3.6 out of 5 stars)
by Iris Z. Nov 04, 2017
Very small common areas - not too inviting lobby. The condo is ok but the view in not everybody's person thing. I am facing railways and numerous condos - very industrial look. Quite small balcony - I wish it would be a bit bigger. A good party room and gym. If you plan to use a street car to get to the downtown during the rush hour, mornings or evenings, it is super busy, sometimes have to wait for another streetcar.

excellent amenities

The amenities here are excellent and the unit I visited has some nice finishing touches. Majority of the tenants here are young professionals who actually care about taking care of the building and amenities. Love the design and layout too

Love everything

(5.0 out of 5 stars)

Love everything about this building. Stylish, solid quality, great location and people. The management company has very high standards and you will feel it as soon as you walk in. The concierges are extremely well trained and very professional, the staff overall very well organized and keep the place very well maintained. The amenities are state of the art. The units are on a small side but cozy and with high ceilings. The original appliances are good brand name and of high quality. Engineered wood floors in most units. Great place for urban style living right at the heart of King West.

Location is stellar

(3.0 out of 5 stars)

You have to give credit to Tridel for taking over a building that was under construction with the intention of being an A-Loft hotel and turning it into a decent condo building. Location is stellar with access to King West but nicely situated away from the hustle and bustle of King Street. If you're buying in the King West neighbourhood, you may be drawn to the "new loft" style aesthetic qualities that this building does not have. What is does boast are standard Tridel finishes which are well built and of good quality overall. People harp about the red and black exterior and if you are not a fan of the style, you may not even consider a condo in this building. The standard finishes were your typical stone counters, pre-engineered wood floors, spray-on-stipple ceilings (for the most part). A few interesting features of the building are the virtual concierge (a television screen with concierge in a remote location) which may throw you off when you first arrive. Access to the parking garage requires a separate elevator so you're always taking two trips when you're heading to your car (thank the previous builder for designing a hotel and then pulling out of the development during the credit crunch). Amenities are pretty good with a great gym and rooftop terrace. Pricing fluctuates in the same general range as other new buildings in the area. I've had a number of people I know live in this building and they love the convenience and amenities that the neighbourhood offers.
