Amazing location!

This condo is located very well, directly on King street, just steps away from dozens of bars and restaurants such as Beer Market, Wvurst, Lee, Citizen, Wilbur, and Keg. Also, you are in the middle of the nightlife with several clubs such as Spice Route, Everleigh, EFS, and others. The condo itself offers a nice lobby and not too much of amenities but that's probably less important given how centrally you are located. That's also a great place to live if you work in the downtown like me - you can walk everywhere.

1 br + DEN

(4.0 out of 5 stars)

I attended a party in this building a few weeks ago. The unit was on the north west corner of the building. 2 storeys. 1 bedroom + den. Slick finishes.

The bedroom (on the 2nd floor) was actually set back from the main facade of the building. This created a 2 storey space at the bottom of the stairs - before you went out to the large balcony. Nice feel to it, but this means the bedroom probably gets a bit less light.

Like the other reviewers, I also really like this building. The design/marketing group that worked with Peter Freed on this one is called YOO ( The company is a joint venture between UK developer John Hitchcox and French designer Philippe Starck. I was excited to see them doing a project in Toronto. This is there one and only here.

The only reason I didn't give this building 5 stars is because of the location. You'll have to want to live in the middle of a club area overrun by 905'ers every weekend. The building directly to the north (at 85 Portland) is also the office for a few club owners/promoters in the area - so expect loud parties until 5am.

Also a big fan of this building. It's a little taste of Miami here in Toronto. I love the white exterior and the units I've been in were gorgeous. I've heard from friends though that this building can be a bit of a "circus" on the weekends.

a big fan of this building

I'm a big fan of this building. Well managed with minimal amenities. Maintenance fees in check, unique design by Philippe Starck. Kitchens and bathrooms generally lack storage and some suites lack views because of the "U" shaped design of the building. It is landlocked by surrounding buildings with views limited to the West side of the building facing down Stewart Street, the East side of the building over the 7th floor and the north side of the building over the 5th floor. Heating in suites is by heat pumps and pricing at the moment (May 2013) seems to be hovering in the vicinity of $550-$600psf. Premium units will fetch north of $615psf if they have good views and layouts like the 951sf 2 bedroom unit on the Northeast corner. Two level suites are all on the West side of the building on the 5th floor and higher. Unit sizes range from 475sf for junior one bedroom to 2100sf PH's. Some incredible units in the building with design forward finishes.
