I love living here – I moved in a while ago and would not change it for any other location. It is as good as it can get from in Toronto – you are directly in the middle of everything – just a few steps away (I do not joke, it is literally 30 meters away from King street with hundreds of cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs). Within a 10-minute-walk you are at the TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and a 15-min-walk will get you to the financial district. The lofts are super cozy and I would say represent a “more comfortable” option for loft living. Some of my friends live in other lofts and some of those lofts are a way “too industrial” for my taste – with a plenty of brick, concrete and metal pipes at the ceiling. Quad lofts have a concrete ceiling but the rest of the unit feels much more like a comfortable, modern condo unit. My loft unit is very bright – large windows let a lot of light in and offer beautiful downtown views. We have a great crowd here – a mix of young and more established folks. If you are looking for a comfy loft in a downtown, these lofts would be a great option.

Definitely recommend it!

I've lived in this building for one year and would definitely recommend it as a rental (I am renting) and possible to buy, depending on the unit (view, layout, condition). I think most people in the building are owners. I think this condo was more attractive before the 399 Lofts were built and effectively blocked the entire northwest view. I really like the open concept of minimal aesthetic of the space. My unit gets great light, is extremely quiet (I face the inner courtyard) - even on Saturday nights, I rarely need to turn on the heat or AC and the floor to ceiling cabinets provide more storage than I've ever seen. The floors definitely vary by unit, and some have hardwood - which looks good - but I like the character of the polished concrete.

No views from the units

Interesting building. No views from most of the units in the building. Sandwiched between 399 Lofts (another Cresford Development) on the north side of the building, Victory Lofts (478 King) on the south side of the building. Great storage in the units with massive storage cabinets. High (10 foot) ceilings, exposed concrete floors can be hit and miss from my experience. The developer made an error and although they are different than the norm in most buildings (pre-engineered wood) it looks like grey paint with lacquer. This building seems to be undervalued relative other buildings in the area that boast the same finishes. Note that a number of owners own parking in 399 Lofts and are "assigning" their parking spaces to new owners at 23 Brant. Overall, pretty cool building if you want to be in the thick of things in King West. A little customization and you'll have a pretty awesome suite.
