loud weekend nights

(3.0 out of 5 stars)
by Anonymous Mar 16, 2018
The building gets pretty loud on weekend nights. My floor has several units that have partiers coming and going until 3 am. Otherwise, it's a great building. The concierge is helpful, the gym is actually really well equipped and management is responsive.

HIGHLY recommended condo.

M5V Condo is amazing! I fell in love with the exposed concrete feature walls and ceilings of my flat. Conveniently located in the heart of the entertainment district. The developer has offered top quality built-in stainless appliances. All stove tops in this condo are natural gas; which makes a big difference especially if you enjoy cooking. I also have an entire wall of windows - wall to wall and floor to ceiling. Its great and keeps the space bright. Lockers are also VERY conveniently located on the floor that you live on! Starbucks is downstairs in the building and Organic Grocery Store, LCBO, Fresh And Wild, Shoppers, TTC Streetcar are all within a block of the condo.

cheaply built

(3.0 out of 5 stars)
by Marcus Räder Feb 20, 2017
I've been living here for almost a year. It's a very cheaply built building, like a tenement for immigrants which is reflected in the tenants. Many expats and young students live here. There are a lot of parties and every floor smells like weed at least once a day. That being said, the terrace on the 3rd floor with it's fridge, bbq and tables are great. So is the gym. There's a party room with pool table that can be used as a meeting room during the day. If you like partying, this is a fantastic building and a fantastic location. However, at 32 and married it feels like we're at least 10 years too old for this. I couldn't imagine raising a child here or even having a dog. Something that brings down the grades even further are the strict rental rules. Short-term rentals are forbidden, which makes buying here a very bad idea as long-term rentals are so cheap. It would be an ok investment if short-term rentals were allowed. That's why I rent. The building staff is super awesome, especially the concierges.
