Scarborough Bluffs Condo

(4.3 out of 5 stars)

Hi there! My boyfriend bought this condo right after it was built about 3 years ago. We love it. The condo has high ceilings, and the hallways are spacious. Walking through the condo feels great. The condo owners and renters are chill. Everyone keeps to themselves, aside from the courteous hello or nod. The condo cleaning staff are very pleasant. There was an ant problem for a minute in 2017 but that cleared up and is clear, the condo took care of that in a timely fashion. The unit doors are large and thick, which makes it great for soundproofing. We have never heard any footsteps of talking or sounds from another unit, through the walls. The walls seem well soundproofed. We love our matching stainless steel appliances, they are GE and they all work great. We love all the luxury finishes in our unit, such as the quartz countertops etc. The floors look like real hardwood, but they might be a blend. We enjoy our massive balcony on the ground floor. It is right beside the go station. About a 3 minute walk. We also love the 2 bus stops in front of the condo. 1 goes to Warden Subway, it is like 3 stops. The other goes to Kennedy, about 5 minutes. This is the perfect distance from Downtown, it should take less than 30 minutes via TTC to get Downtown. We have enjoyed the party room and the rooftop BBQ terrace. This condo has been a pleasure to live in. The primary reason he bought it was because it was close to the Scarborough Bluffs, as we take long walks on the bluffs beach and also have family picnics at the bluffs. Many many times, we will go feed the ducks at the bluffs with my kids. There are also large underground parking spots that feel spacious and not congested, like Downtown condo parking. There is a bike storage locker too. This is a perfect affordable condo to live in Toronto. Truly a diamond find. No pool but, that is okay because we save on maintenance this way. Have a good day!

Lackluster

I've lived here for 3 years and am moving out relatively soon. I can confirm the review that the building itself is sub-par and the soundproofing between units is terrible. I can hear the unit above me walk around and if they have people over I can just about make out conversations happening. The front doors to the units are barely soundproof and you'll hear everything from the hallways. Lockers on the floors have been broken into more than once and items were stolen, property management has always seemed missing in action and when they do respond they're not professional. Security is definitely an issue for the building in more than one way. I'd agreed that the staff on-site throughout the week for cleaning are great to deal with and always friendly.

Leased Unit

On first look, the building appears great, but overall it has a host of issues. The quality of the building itself and workmanship is sub-par. An all wood structures, hearing everything through the walls. They have already had a huge pharaoh ant infestation which impacted multiple units in the building. Security is a continual issue, as they refuse to acknowledge what they have in place is inadequate. Gym door with access to the street gets left open and unlocked, a couple of break-ins have already occurred. The Property Mgmt is non-existent and completely useless and unprofessional. The only bright spot is the on-site cleaning staff Mon-Fri is very professional and pleasant to deal with. I truly feel bad for those that have invested in this property.

Decent neighborhood

(3.3 out of 5 stars)

I have been renting a one bedroom here for a few months now. I enjoy the green space view outside my windows even though it is the backyards of the houses it is much better than looking into another condo. The only down side that I see now is that my bedroom window are very small therefore i get less natural light and my bedroom feel dark and dingy. On the plus side, transit (GO Station ) is right outside my doorstep along with a great shopping center. Only a 20 min drive to downtown and my locker is very conveniently located underground right behind my parking space.
