Visited a few units..

Visited a few units here. The building is nicely laid out and has some nice touches. I noticed the drywalling in the hallways that I saw was pretty poor but that's really the only issue I noticed. Inside, the suites are very nice. I like the extra tall cabinets along with other finishes. The units are on the large side for the most part and seem to be selling pretty well. I wish I had purchased here during pre construction. Pricing was good.

Ok building

Not a great building, but not horrible either. Seems somewhat sterile, and many of the layouts of the 1 bedroom suites suffer from bowling alley syndrome. I get the impression much more could have been done here.

Ultra trendy area

Growing in popularity, Ultra Trendy Queen East Neighbourhood. Toronto's hottest place to eat, drink and shop. Just minutes to the major highways like the Don Valley, Gardiner and Lakeshore. Close to the Beaches and downtown Toronto.

Great layout

The Ninety is one of the latest offerings from Brad Lamb/Harhay construction and I'm a fan. It's a mid-rise loft (converted from a 1923 Coca Cola bottling plant with an addition) and fits in well with the neighbourhood. Layouts are great and the finishes are sleek and modern, with concrete everywhere (of course). The building is U-shaped, so many of the units have good views (for a 9-storey building anyhow).

All the balconies have natural gas BBQ hook-ups which is a nice touch (it's illegal to bring propane tanks in an elevator in Toronto, so no natural gas hookup+no BBQ). There's also a huge shared courtyard, a main floor party room.

The building has only been registered for a short time and resale units are just starting to come on the market. The lofts at The Ninety aren't cheap, but with both style + location, they're a great east-end option.

If you like lots of drama...

We've been living here since it was built. Management is horrendous here! So much, that they actually got fired and we have a new management team in place for the building. Poorly made - we will NEVER buy with Harhay Development in the future. The places are made with cheap finishings, the paint scratches even if you accidentally bump into it. Our light fixture that came with the place was never properly installed and is STILL hanging out of the ceiling after numerous requests to have it fixed. Construction workers have walked in while my girlfriend was taking a shower without permission. There is a serious problem with owners not picking up animal feces/urine in front and in the hallways inside of the building. Some weird neighbour stalks tenants and takes pictures of their unit buildings and posts them to Facebook. The fire alarms have been having constant problems randomly setting off at 3 am (one time twice in two days consecutively). Parties are loud in the "community garden" and you have to PAY to rent it out and need to hire SECURITY as well. So ridiculous. The dog issue is so bad in our building a neighbour's dog on the floor above us chewed through their water line and flooded 6 units that are STILL under repair and which the property management has NOT YET fixed even though it happened end of November and its now January and they have still done nothing about all the floors that need fixing in all units. If you like lots of drama, dog hair and urine all over the lobby carpets and elevators this is the place for you!
