Great location. Good scale. Decent design, with some great outdoor spaces. I'm just not a fan of the precast they used for the base. I know the speckles of colour are supposed to be arty, but the precast just doesn't seem high quality to me.

Newest favourite

(5.0 out of 5 stars)
by Melanie Piche Jul 25, 2017
By far my newest favourite condo/soft loft building in a long time...super stylish and the builder hasn't spared any attention to detail (rare these days in new builds). The common areas and amenities (so often boring and uninspired) are wickedly cool: an outdoor lounge (with firepit), bar and party areas you'd actually want to host a party in and a gym with up-to-date equipment.
The condos I've seen/sold so far have all had great finishes, with Scavolini kitchens and gorgeous bathrooms and higher-than-normal ceilings. Art condos is a boutique building with only 11 floors (the bottom floors dedicated to live/work spaces), so if you don't want to wait forever for elevators and have to deal with a million neighbours you don't recognize, boutique is the way to go.
Of course you can't beat the location - still up-and-coming enough so that you're making a good investment, but close to everything happening in west queen west.

unit layouts are really unique

This building is amazing! Great location and the unit layouts are really unique with some featuring entire walls that slide away. The finishes are the best you will ever find in a new condo with pre-wiring for audio/visual standard, Scavolini kitchens and the most amazing bathrooms! Watch out for units on the west side as they face directly into the neighbouring building and there is a development application on the east side, which means those units might eventually lose their downtown city view.

Kinks to work out...

(3.0 out of 5 stars)
by Anonymous Jan 22, 2017
The building just opened in February , so it has the usual kinks to work out. The front desk staff are very helpful and professional. There are some odd and irritating things about the building design; you can't access the stairwell from the ground floor (unless you are in certain suites), and it's difficult to access the back of the building as only one elevator opens to the back, and you have wait until that particular elevator opens. In the common areas the carpets are looking a bit dirty and paint is chipping. However, the suites are nice and everyone is friendly.
