TOP NOTCH

This is a fabulous building to live in. Top notch amenities. It's like a very high end hotel. The concierge greet you and are so friendly. Quality construction. The heating and air conditioning system is strong. That was an issue in my previous building. One of the most important things for me is that a building be sufficiently sound proof. James Cooper mansion is a very quiet building! I never hear my neighbours. Outside noises and construction sounds have not been an issue either. I can barely hear anything when my windows and door are shut. Neighbours are respectful. It seems to have a higher ratio of owners vs renters than other buildings. The location is well situated. It is a 10-12 minute walk to yorkville and there are several projects in the works which will make sherbourne street nicer in the next 5 years.

Yes I would recommend this building. As a Realtor I have put several owners in this building and they are all very happy. Lately however I noticed that the units are staying a little longer on the market - over 40 days on average but the prices are staying stable. Currently 5 units on the market and 2 parking spots which are priced very reasonable. Got to love the building and its management. Check out the library in this building - nothing like you have ever seen before-that nice.

I have lived in this building for a year, and have just renewed my lease. I've lived in 3 other condo buildings in Toronto, and this one is the best one. I will be purchasing a unit here in the future. The staff/concierge personnel here are friendly and helpful. The building is mostly owner-occupied, and only has 2 one-bedroom units per floor.

The residents are mostly professionals. Yes, quite a few yuppies, but none of the inconsiderate beefcakes that tend to live in Cityplace. I know most of the people on my floor, and everyone is very courteous and respectful of our shared community space. JCM socials are fun, and the building is gorgeous. There's no pool, but I look forward to my low maintenance fees once I finally make a purchase here.

Safety and security in the building are top notch, maintenance staff are always around cleaning, and the builder did a fantastic job picking quality materials. I'm very happy to call JCM home!
