BASIC FACTS: One Park Place is a 2 tower plus podium project. The first tower went under sale in Fall 2012 and is nearly sold out (as of Summer 2013). Occupancy began Christmas 2013. There is retail space along Dundas street. The building is the fourth new condo tower in Regent Park as part of the Regent Park Revitalization project (15 year project). It follows on the heels of One Cole (2009 release),One Park West (2010 release), and Paintbox condos (2011 release).

WHY I LOVE IT It's no secret I'm a huge fan of what Daniels corp is doing in Regent Park. I've been blogging about the revitalization of Regent Park since 2008. I've personally bought units in 2 of them including One Park Place. I love all the buildings in Regent Park but One Park Place is the best so far. The finishes are the highest quality (they brought in Cecconi Simone on this project to do interiors-the first time they have used a 'brand name' designer), the amenities are the most extensive (including indoor half-court basketball gym and large rooftop terrace) of all the buildings so far, and the location puts it smack in the middle of the new Regent Park.

LOCATION Being in the centre of the neighbourhood will have it's advantages. Weekly farmers markets (already started) will be at your doorstep along the pedestrian promenade on the west side of the building. Across the street is the new park ( completed 2014). Its freakin awesome. And of course in the park is the newly completed Regent Park Aquatic Centre which is 100% FREE to use and is attracting people from all over the GTA because it's one of the most beautiful and well designed public swimming pools...anywhere. It's also the first new city of Toronto public pool to be built in decades. I've been a couple times myself and it's truly amazing. It's also right next to the Regent Park Arts and Cultural Centre which is a multi-use space for arts, theatre, innovation, and various community events. It's also brand new and attracting a lot of people from all over the city.

AFFORDABILITY Obviously a big draw to living in Regent Park is the affordability of the neighbourhood. The quality of the buildings and the suites for the price is unmatched downtown. The area still has a stigma attached to it which will no doubt take time to change, but the change is well underway.

Tower 2 of One Park Place launched in 2013 and occupancy was around 1.5-2 years later.
