happy with my purchase

I purchased a one bedroom, two bathroom two-storey loft in this building. The layout is great, very well thought-out. The finishes are on trend and have a sleek look. The location of the building is ideal - it's in Liberty Village but not in the commotion of Liberty's artery. Tucked away on a side street, this building offers everything you'd look for in location; walking distance from bars, restaurant, shops and minutes from the Gardiner.

This building is still considerably new, so building maintenance is still being completed every day. The demographics of the building is young professionals and there are lots of dogs. It can get loud on weekends - lots of parties (although, maybe it's just my floor). That being said, this building may not be ideal for a young family. As for amenities - good gym, party room, pet spa, tool room and meeting rooms. Fees are average for this neighbourhood.

So far, I've been happy with my purchase. I give 5 Hanna Ave. 4 stars - 5 stars would suggest perfection and nothing is perfect :)

Didn't Disappoint

(5.0 out of 5 stars)

I visited a friend in this building last weekend. I always thought of Liberty Market Lofts as one of the better buildings in Liberty Village and my visit didn't disappoint.

The lobby and common areas are pretty funky with yellow accent pieces throughout. The finishes in the unit itself are solid and I was surprised to see a concealed fridge as a standard, as well as 2 bathrooms (1 full) in a 1 bedroom unit (~550 sf). Galley kitchens aren't my ideal choice, but given the narrowness of many of the units, this seems to be standard throughout the building. The only piece that really stood out for me was the standard stair railings - they look a tad dated.

The view from the unit I visited looked north over the historic Liberty Market Building. Although there's a proposal to demolish the eastern edge of this building, I can't see the rest of it going anytime soon. Views should remain intact. For the portion of the building that faces east (which would have great views of downtown), I'm not as confident that those will remain forever given the adjacent building. Overall, I liked the building and would recommend it to friends who are young, hip and like to party.

Different suits layouts

Love the suites that face West, but the lower level East-facing units stare right into a wall of the adjacent police station. The one bedroom lofts over 700 square feet make excellent use of space, but the sub 650 square feet units have living rooms on the small side.
