Older but great location

(3.6 out of 5 stars)

The building is a bit older since these condos have been built a while ago but the location is unbeatable - it is close to everything. Cafes (Brioche Doree, Delysee, ...), restaurants/pubs (Irish, Japanese, Italian, Thai, Canadian, etc), bars, night clubs, grocery stores, Shoppers, McDonald's, Pizza-Pizza, fitness gyms. Young crowd / young professionals - a very dynamic neighbourhood. You can actually walk to the downtown because you are almost in the downtown. :-)

It offered great value

Older buildings in the city of Toronto live in the shadows of the newer sleeker condos. I moved to The Summit because it offered great value - the neighborhood is amazing, my apartment is massive, the building is patrolled and well maintained, and the TTC is at my doorstep. The building amenity highlights are the pool, big backyard, and new BBQs. Despite the fact that The Summit has an exercise room, indoor squash courts, and cinema in the basement, I'd rather go to one of the many exercise studios nearby - Union, Misfits, 889 Yoga, it's all there.

massive suites

(3.0 out of 5 stars)

I visited a good friend of mine in this building last week. I had been inside the building years ago, but I hadn't been in since they renovated the lobbies and other common areas. The building comes across as well maintained. The suites are massive (typical for buildings of this age). You won't find a new building with suites this big and at the same price point, particularly in a great location like this. The negatives for me are the 8' ceilings (if you've read any of my other reviews, you'll know that I consider 9' to be standard) and the lack of balconies. I could never live in a condo without some form of outdoor space.
