Best condo in Scarborough

I moved here four years ago and am very happy with my decision. It's definitely a luxury condo, with a ton of amenities and possibly the best indoor pool and gym in the city. Management is very good and quality from the international builder is excellent. The only complaints I've heard that there is a garbage area near parking and units on the 2nd and 3rd floors were getting some smells but they installed a powerful fan system a year and I haven't noticed any garbage smell since. Also, the walls are super thick and you barely here anyone here. I've never heard my neighbours except maybe when they are in the hallways and talking loudly, which isn't frequent. Residents are professionals and retirees and generally very respectful. Yes, there is very tight security here but I have no problem with this at all. You need a key to get up the elevator and security does a great job here. I don't see this as a problem but a benefit, actually. My only issue is the maintenance fees for owners - they are increasing a little faster than I'd like, but I would not hesistate to recommend here as a place to live.

Strict security, thin walls...

1) Security and visitors are located where the garbage bins are, imagining the smell of those bins! 2) There`s no loading area. You have to tell your mover to park their truck outside on the side of the building, try not to move into this building on a rainy day or in the winter time! 3) Forget about the luxury service of having things deliver to your unit because security of not letting "uninvited" people into the building is good, BUT, but it's a hassle for you and your guests. You need to use a key-fob to control the elevator, so either you give a set of key fob to your mover, your delivery people, or your guests otherwise you'll have to ride with your mover up and down the elevator, go downstairs to pick-up your deliveries yourself and welcome your guests at the main door! Wave goodbye to that service! 4) wall and floor are pretty thin within the units, I can hear people talking next door, neighbour moving or arranging their furniture up-stairs. Wow! 5) You can always smell garbage up on your floors, especially if your unit is located near the garbage chute. So, Beware!
