Poor maintenance

We lived here for 3 years. The property has a disproportionately high level of renters. Corridors often have a lot of cooking odors. The finishes were also disappointing. Lanterra turned over the building to purchasers as each floor was finished. As a result significant wear and tear from construction and building deficiencies remain unresolved including everything from crooked fire station boxes in corridors, to hallway carpet that looks prematurely worn, missing panels on the stone veneer and general evidence of poorly supervised construction and turnover. there were points during and subsequent to occupancy where I never received a call back from Lanterra Customer Care. Lots of university students renting in here. Be careful with lower level floors too.

This building impresses me every time I go inside. The lobby is very large and well thought out with different seating areas and quality art on the walls. The unit I was in faces north and east with two separate balconies. The floor only has 4 units on it so it is very quiet. The finishes are top notch including the built-in fridge and stove. The high ceilings make this large unit seem even larger. The people I visited there are very happy with the building and are active within the building to maintain its overall high-end feel and to attract the right type of buyers. The common areas are extremely well kept including a large gym with every kind of equipment you could want. The salt water pool is a nice touch along with the saunas and hot tub. There are several BBQ's for people to use in the large courtyard. The only drawback is that you are almost always in the shade as the building and surrounding buildings block almost all of the sun. You really get a feeling the owners take pride in the building which is a huge plus in my mind. The developers from my understanding even live in the building which I think speaks for itself. Other than the fact this is one of the buildings that had glass falling from it a couple of summers ago I would strongly recommend this building for anyone who wants to live in this area.
