low maintenance fees

Things are changing all around us for the better. I've lived here for 7 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I've known the building for over 18 years - I came here when it was the CBC too. Our maintenance fees amongst the lowest per square foot in the city - they include water, hydro, heat, A/C and gas. Our fees are low due to a no frills amenities concept. We have no concierge, just a superintendent who is on site 7am-3pm weekdays, he does everything. We have a great newly renovated multipurpose Amenity Room which can host parties, meetings, fitness classes, movie nights and is available for outside events as well.

Not the greatest of location considering that its steps to Regent Park. I'm not getting why the price is so high.

building is very well run

90 Sumach is a unique loft building with a fantastic community of owners and tenants. There is a real pride in ownership in the building and people alike. With lofts starting at over 1000 square feet and ranging from there the spaces are very unique and functional. Some units have been extensively renovated and others are more raw. The spaces boast high ceilings, tons of natural light, concrete floors and pillars, gas lines, and true character. The building is very well run and maintained and maintenance fees are reasonable. With all the gentrification happening around the neighbourhood it is an exciting and evolving place to be!

Awesome loft building

(4.0 out of 5 stars)
by Brook Wilson Feb 17, 2017
I spent a day in this building a number of years ago for a photo shoot. At the time, I remember thinking to myself, "Wow, what an awesome loft building." And still to this day, this building stands out in my mind as one of the coolest and most authentic hard lofts in the city. The unit I was in was massive - probably well over 1,200 sf. It had a mezzanine sleeping area, as well an office area in the back, near the main entrance to the suite (no windows). My sense is that the building is filled with creative professionals, as the lofts are technically live/work. The one downside of this building is that it's in a somewhat marginal area. South of the building is fine, but the area to the north isn't great. It may improve alongside with the revitalization of Regent Park though.
